@theycallmemorty @paulg Writing code is almost always the least effective method (by a considerable margin) of reaching a particular goal. Every second Paul spends writing code today, for example, is ultimately wasted.

@keerthiko I think it is, yes. The intent is "never be absolutely uncritical of anyone" e.g. nobody gets a pass because they're some kind of saint who never makes mistakes, gets angry, gets upset, etc etc etc etc

@siracusa It it just a lot of "interactive first person reading" or it is a reasonable game as well? For example, I wasn't a fan of Gone Home, though I didn't *hate it* per se, it wasn't really for me.

@paulg I still say that society has barely come to grips with our new reality: a computer in every pocket, 24/7, always connected. It's funny that Microsoft's original vision of "a computer on every desktop", which seemed so radical in 1970, was off by .. many orders of magnitude.

TL;DR there end up being two methods of "access" to GitHub repos with oAuth -- full permission including write and create repo, and.. uh.. no access at all? Something safe like "read only" through oAuth is impossible, which is kinda insane.
