I ultimately had to use a rockier substrate, but you can "stonewash" titanium with a sturdy container, a tumbler (of sorts) and this. https://t.co/wOMxPSsL8d

@Carnage4Life My gut says this will never actually happen. People hated cabs for good reason (unreliable, rude, dirty, untrustworthy) but they like college, because it mostly works, albeit overpriced.

@Supermathie I accept ECC as cheap (ideally eventually free) insurance, but it's awfully odd how 99% of the world's computers *don't* have ECC and the world is not collectively in flames from "random memory errors"

Both Ukraine and Belarus, in their first months of independence, lowered legal radiation thresholds from the Soviet Union's previous, elevated thresholds (from 35 rems per lifetime under the USSR to 7 rems per lifetime in Ukraine and 0.1 rems per year in Belarus)

@Carnage4Life I'd also add that sometimes we advise customers they *are* on the wrong solution and they would get a better fit from a competitor's product. Not because we don't like them, but because ultimately the goal is happiness, not forcing a fit.

@Carnage4Life That's the root problem, more so than "we didn't talk to customers". You need to have a culture that embraces change and improvement, rapid iteration, etc. Facebook is sadly very good at this, to society's detriment.

@Carnage4Life maybe for enormous corps, but for a small company like ours, we don't have the bandwidth. In my experience you get such AMAZING feedback from the "yes, and" customers such that it's not necessary to follow up with "no, this totally isn't working for us" customers

@Carnage4Life honestly I find we get the best value from customers who are clearly fans of what we do, but have concrete and specific suggestions based on their usage. They "yes, and..." a lot. If Twitter had been listening to the simple suggestions people being abused had..

@Carnage4Life well sort of, your most unhappy customers should sometimes be on a totally different solution, by a different company. It's not 100% guaranteed that you can extract value from that, 50/50 at best

@paulg @trekonomics Any controversial topic should be discussed in a larger blog entry. The medium is a huge problem, 280 chars is better than 140 but still woefully inadequate for nuanced, contentious topics.
