the bummer part is my local 3.5 GHz 2-core PC does that query 2x as fast as the 1.8 GHz 8-core server. Clock speed still matters, people.

ok, dbo.RegexIsMatch(r.Tags, '(test|orange)') now works via CLR, but perf is only so-so. 460ms to test 14,000 records.
