@HelgeKlein @dhh it's because the CPU is much, *much* faster. They spackle over this with "but m0ar corrreeess" but that doesn't make up for less than half the single-threaded speed (and most tasks for average people are in fact single threaded, we're not all encoding videos or compiling code.)
