@Jonathan_Blow @mixedCase_ @ID_AA_Carmack It is generally true, but certainly *can* be untrue in specific cases. It's possible the auteur scenario you're describing could indeed be one of those cases. But I'd also note No Man's Sky (for example) is a far better game now than it was on release.
